Corner Sofas

Corner sofas are loved for their space maximising qualities, as well as bringing family and friends together at the end of a busy day.

Let us help you choose a corner sofa that’s perfect for your home.

Why choose a corner sofa?

There are many reasons to choose a corner sofa, not least of which is seating space. At one time you might have opted for a large sofa with a couple of chairs for extra seating, but the corner sofa brings all of that together, becoming a space saver all on its own.

Not only is it practical, but consider the comfort you feel from snuggling up in that corner and putting your feet up?

Corner sofas are the perfect place to get together with friends or family to socialise. They bring everyone together and, over time, each person will have their own favourite space to settle into for a chat or a cup of tea.

Which corner sofa suits you?

We recommend our Wadenhoe corner for gathering friends and family. Soft, slouchy and offering classic comfort, this is the ultimate movie watching sofa.

If you want to combine the contemporary corner style with something classic, browse our bestselling Alwinton range. A timeless bespoke sofa with an iconic Howard arm, high back and deep, comfy seat. The ideal spot to enjoy a cup of tea or chat with friends.

Our Stockbridge sofa boasts a modern design with generous seats for all the family to sink into. It’s the perfect sofa to cosy up on while you catch-up on emails or get lost in a good book.

If you love a gathering with family and friends, the Langland is the corner sofa for you. It provides a comfy haven for relaxing during the day before transforming into a spacious sofa bed for a restful night's sleep.

Where shall I position my corner sofa?

Whilst you might feel like the natural position for a corner sofa is in the corner of the living room, the versatility of the corner may come as a surprise.

If you have a lounge / dining area that you’d like to transform into two separate spaces, a large corner sofa can act as the bridge between the two. If you’re decorating a smaller living area, a small corner sofa will give the room a cosy and sociable feel.

Which features shall I look out for?

Left hand facing - When you’re looking at the corner sofa from the front, the longest section is on the left hand side.

Right hand facing - When you’re looking at the corner sofa from the front, the longest section is on the right hand side.

Chaise end - Often called an L-shaped sofa, a chaise end gives the sofa that corner appearance without taking up too much room. A great choice if you’re trying to find small corner sofas that will give the same look and feel. If you’re heading more towards a chaise, browse our timeless Alwinton collection.

Bed - Sofa beds are a great solution for maximising space. They provide a place for your guests to sit during the day and sleep on during the night. A popular choice if you love to have visitors but don’t have the permanent space for another bed in your home. Our Langland corner sofa glides seamlessly from sofa to bed, with a natural sprung mattress for a divine night's sleep.

Curved - Most corner sofas will have a squared corner, but a curved corner sofa like our Alwinton corner gives a softer, rounded appearance which allows you to place it in the centre of a room if you’d prefer.

How to measure up for your corner sofa

There’s lots to consider before buying a corner sofa. Will it fit in the space you have? Is there enough room around it for your other furniture? You can use our helpful AR feature to get a vision of what your sofa will look like, but it’s important to get the right measurements too!

If your space is a bit too small, you can always opt for a small corner sofa or a chaise corner sofa instead. Our mid-century style Marylebone has an elegant chaise for that corner sofa feel without taking up too much room.
