When life spills over
When water-based spills occur, liquids bead on the surface of the fabric rather than soaking in immediately - giving you valuable time to blot or wipe them away.
This is not about avoiding life’s moments, It’s not about avoiding the moment - just giving you a little more time to respond.
How spill resistance works
Our fabrics are finished with a fluorine-free water-repellent treatment applied during production. Used in carefully controlled amounts, it creates a protective surface layer that slows absorption without altering the fabric’s texture, handle or appearance.
Spill-resistant rather than waterproof, it is designed to delay absorption - not prevent it entirely. Many traditional stain-resistant treatments rely on fluorinated chemicals to create an impermeable barrier. These substances - often referred to as “forever chemicals” - do not readily break down in the environment.
Where possible, we believe it is important to avoid using these types of treatments.

When spills happen
Blot the liquid first with a paper towel or absorbent cloth. Then clean the area with a soft cloth or sponge and warm water with a mild detergent, gently working over the mark until it lifts. As with any upholstered fabric, prompt attention will always deliver the best result.
