Our delivery team will contact you with a delivery date when your furniture is in our warehouse. We will contact you on the working day before delivery is due to confirm your time slot. If there are any issues with delivery whilst en route, the delivery crew will call you directly with an update.
Your furniture will be unwrapped by our team upon delivery for your inspection. It is extremely important that you inspect it with great care. Our delivery team must be informed of any defects or problems with the products at that time.
If you choose not to have the products unwrapped at the time of delivery, we cannot be held responsible for any damage found on your furniture after delivery. Please read the terms & conditions on our website for more information.
When first unwrapped, your new sofa cushions may feel a little firmer than the ones in the showroom. It can take a little while for the filling to settle. You can help this process by ‘plumping’ them vigorously a few times over the next few weeks and working the filling into the corners of the cushions. After a few weeks, they’ll be feeling as soft and inviting as intended.
It’s important that legs are tightened regularly to prevent them becoming loose and buckling. The castors are decorative and not to be used as wheels to move the sofa around. The sofa cannot be dragged to be moved. If you need to move your sofa, make sure to lift it.
We recommend plumping your fibre or feather filled cushions daily to keep them looking lovely and inviting. To keep your sofa, chair or sofa bed looking fresh, give it a good brush with a vacuum cleaner on a low setting every now and then.
If you have any queries or concerns about your furniture post-delivery, please email our support team [email protected].
You should expect to take some time to adapt to your new mattress. A new mattress will take 3-4 weeks to settle. The fillings will move & settle with use. Therefore, turning and rotating your mattress is extremely important. It will increase its longevity, comfort and support massively.
All types of new mattresses should be turned after 3 months, then after 6 months, then twice a year after that. Pocket sprung mattresses will need a rotation every 6-12 months, increasing slightly as they get older to around 2-5 times per year. If the mattress can’t be turned, such as our pillow top, it will need to be rotated end to end at least every three months.
If you purchased the Staingard Care Plan from us, the cleaning kit will be delivered with your furniture. The insurance certification for the plan will be forwarded by email 3-5 weeks after delivery. Please note that the Care plan is not a general cleaning contract but is a policy that provides cover for specific incidents. Once the insurance certification document is received, please carefully read the terms & conditions regarding your right to make a claim to ensure that it meets your demands and needs.
We will never ask you to send any personal details via email. If we require such details, for security reasons, we will ask you to contact us by phone. Should you receive an email claiming to be from Sofas & Stuff requesting this kind of information, please do not respond to it but do let us know so that we can investigate it further.
